There's been a lot of change in the rules and their interpretation recently.  Round here they're getting stopped and checked a lot now and most of our friends are confused.

OH found this and thought it would help
Being certain just means you haven't got all the facts

Does this mean if my name was 'Karen' and I swapped my horse for a vehicle I could transport that vehicle around the country as part of my hobby?
I would also be sure anyone was also my friend before i sold them anything (so as to be part of a non business thing)

Insurance and license are two different requirements imo

The rules are getting loads more strict on trailers - Part of me says pah, anyone should be able to drive a trailer around without another license - and then I see someone with a trailer who cant even drive forward let alone backward.

I do think trailer tests should be more stringent - cos basically anyone who can tow and drive with a trailer could pass one easily.  I also hear they are tightening up on trailers themselves with some kind of planned 'mot' for larger attachments?

It is crazy to think that trailers dont have to be checked to be fit for the road - it would certaily make me grease that braking system if it were to be the case on small trailers. - I mean I dont like driving dangerous - but its not exactly everyday I wip the hubs off the trailer and have a good look at the brake drums.
