Chicken egg incubation

Hi,
Just starting incubating some eggs.  Need some advice as to whether or not to clean them before and if so with what?  I have checked several books etc and am getting different advice.

We use an egg disinfectant as well, the one you soak the eggs in solution for a minute, but keep the nest boxes and the coop very clean so no dirty eggs unless it gets really muddy outside. Tried just washing them in warm water but that didn't stop the bacteria getting in and we lost a third due to infection.

Thanks for the input, my eggs are not that dirty but was wanting to avoid having
complete failure especially as not hatched eggs before.  Will let you know how it all goes.
