Evening.
This is a request on behalf of my 19yr old son who is studying at Askam Bryan College, York. He needs 300 hrs work placement hours on a dairy farm to qualify. There are only 2 milk producing dairy farms where we live and both spoken for. He has his own car so is mobile. Anywhere preferably in the Yorkshire area. Does anyone know of anything?
Incidently , at a parents evening at our local comprehensive school last week, they said that only 4 out of 300 school leavers got full time employment last year, and 7 the year before! Most of the diary farms around here had such steep rules imposed on them for no return gave up producing milk, so it is now imported where I doubt any of these rules have been implemented.
