farm kittens - wanted
« on: January 11, 2012, 11:12:32 am »
I am about to move in to my own yard with the horses. So among the lovely set up is a stone buit shed with a cat flap in the door. The location is on the edge of gatcombe woods, down a no through lane, so there will be little traffic. Does anyone havea couple of kittens? they will be loved, have a shed to go into for warmth, get regular feeds, they just won't have a lap to snuggle on or bed to sleep on at night!

try Cats Protection in your area. Although they try to tame all the feral kittens that get collected when they spey and release the mum, there is quite often one or two who just wont play ball.

Both times we have adopted farm cats it has been through CPL, they arent at all (or at least my local branches havent been) disapproving of an outdoor lifestyle as long as they have shelter and have basic regular feeding. They will also microchip and neuter them or provide a voucher for the neutering.

I got my two farm kittens from the cats protection league and they were really helpful. Haven't seen any evidence of mice since they arrived  ;D

 >:( >:( i have just bought a place and the kind previous owner has left us with 8 cats to look after.  Have tried the RSPCA but they wont take them, only neuter them and leave them on site.  Not a happy chappy, i dont mind a couple to keep the vermin down but i wont be responsible for 8 !!
