Hi all .....

.... Our little Sprocker, Breeze had 6 puppies, born on 18th October ......

... 4 girls and 2 boys .... all doing well, 2 of the girls are spoken for already ....

Breeze' mother was a Springer and father was a Cocker, both working dogs, she was mated with a working Cocker, who lives just next door .... whilst we do not work Breeze she has a very good nose and excellent at flushing. She is a family pet with a brilliant temperment, good with children and cats.

Is that Sprocker as in designer dogs or deliberate working gundog mating?  More details please - health checks etc? And welcome to the forum

Hi Annie ....

... yeap, Sprocker are a recognised working/gundog cross .... you get the best of both breeds....

Heathwise ... the pups will be 3 weeks old, tomorow, Tuesday .... Mother and pups are just fine .... feeding well and putting weight on ... all eyes are open and theyy are venturing out of the whelping box to wee on newspaper ..... a couple are taking weet-a-bix and puppy milk .....

Mother has not lost and condition ... her coat is still nice and glossy ....

Thanks, Pete, I love pups, but not in the market for one just now.  You're not too far away so if I have time I might come and see them - weather permitting of course.  Would you have anywhere nearby safe for runaway Brittanys to be exercised if I do come up?  Haven't quite mastered the stop and instant recall if a rabbit or deer gets up   

What I really meant was if any of the recognised KC  health checks had been done.  I assume not - you'll no doubt have seen it's one of my soap boxes but i've been told to 'timmer down' a bit.

i am not quite with this one if a sprocker is the cross from a springer and a cocker =50% and 50%
from you post on for sale they are25%springer and 75% cocker so not a sprocker in the true sense

Mine is 25% springer and 75% cocker and was sold as a 'sprocker' I think it's a general term for the springer/cocker crosses regardless of the ratios.

Hi all ....

... after only a week .....

I'm happy to say that all the girls and 1 of the boys have found homes to go to, when ready .....

So, we have 1 boys available, he is white with liver ears and spots on his back ...
