Help ! ! !
« on: November 13, 2011, 07:01:27 am »
 Hi.
My name is Martha, I am an 18 month old Saanen doe and my lady is a total novice at keeping goats.
We have been together, me and she, for 1 month now and so far so good. I know she will have lots of questions to ask you, some of them will most likley be on the stupid side but please be patient with her,she has a lot to learn.
So I hope you all will help her to keep me in fine fettle.

 Love Martha.

Hi.  You will find the more knowledgeable folks on this site to be pretty kind in addressing ignorance.  I should know.  I have been on the receiving end.

Good luck with your doe

Hi Martha - are you an only girl? I think you really would love to have a friend around, and also at your age probably want to go and see a nice, well bred billy boy so hat your owner can have lots of milk next summer?

Which part of the country do you live in?

Anyway, no stupid questions, just stupid answers!

Welcome from a bunch of GG's and BT's in the Scottish Borders

We are mother and daughter Sanaans whose owner has some experience so ask away.  I'm sure she'll do her best.

Hi Martha. Our Mummy is a bit of a novice too, she is doing very well, but please dont tell her that she is spoiling us rotten. We sometimes play her up when she tries to get us to go to bed, so Daddy has to come out and chase us in on his ride-on mower. We know that she gets good advice from other goat keepers on this board, so your Mummy wont have any trouble asking for help if she needs it. All these humans need to know is that if we are fed, watered, and given loads of playtime and love, we will be fine.

Hope you let us know how you are getting on in your new home,

Lots of love,

Billy and Toby
xx
