Rescue centres do charge high prices for their cats and dogs etc - I suppose they are taking into consideration vet bills, for worming, de fleaing, and neutering/speying and microchipping, as they usually do all these pre homing. As I said previously, such a shame you are not nearer as you would be welcome to a couple of our kttens

I have seen cats at a animal sanctuary for £60!! I give my farm kittens away to people I know, but otherwise a charge of £20 to cover what they have eaten (well, part way towards it!) and wormer and flea stuff. People seem quite happy with that.
Have two left from current litter (black) and some ready in about three weeks (white and black and one black and white) if anyone is near enough to us and is looking for kittens. Will be litter trained, and at present live in farm buildings.
