Hard boil them - one minute is enough.  They're a devil to peel, but cool them then pour over mayo - absolutely delish!

or pickle them ... but you'd still need to boil & peel them I suppose :)

they are just eggs, you can do them however you "like you eggs in the morning" ... just abit smaller!

Thanks all. I still haven't got round to trying them! But think I'll try them boiled with mayo as you suggested Doganjo.
They're so tiny I thought they would be hard boiled if they just looked at a pan of water!

That's why I said a minute - that's hardboiled.  then you cool them, peel, and cover with mayo, sprinkle with spices to taste - I like nutmeg or even cinnamon

Leave them for a couple of days before you boil them, they'll be easier to peel.

Today we wanted to try something different with our quail eggs, so I looked here for ideas and tips.

I always put eggs for hard or soft boiling into boiling water, and recipes always assume you put then into cold water, bring to the boil and start timing when they come to the boil.  Wish I'd remembered that earlier...  ::)

So, we accidentally had barely-soft-boiled eggs (I'd meant them to be just hard.)  I hadn't any mayonnaise, so I made a sour-creamed mushroom sauce to go with - oh, yum!   :yum:
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
