is it a reflective collar little blue? am struggling to find a reflective one that snowball will keep on and what with her being black and the fact that 2 of her sons died on the road...(you can guess what I'm worrying about again!!)

yes.
they aren't that easy to find - Wilco's used to do brilliant reflective collars for 79 - 99p, like the  monster in the first pic is wearing. But now they are dead expensive and all coloured.

Alfie's is from our local pet shop, a little independent one so its a case of being satisfied with what they have.
Del the tabby (the only one of our 4 without white bits! absolutely refuses to wear a collar. I have scars to prove it, and so does she - when she was little she tried so hard to claw it off she had gaping wounds that got infected under her neck.
She has more road sense than the other three put together, and is a born hunter so tends to be off down the mill rather than on the road.

My friend has 2 black cats and one tabby - they have Pets at home fluorescent yellow collars wiith magnets in to operate the cat flap, I bet they have plenty to chose from.
Take a limited budget, I'm banned from going cos I spend too much on my little 'uns!

hth, we lucky that our road isnt too bad.

I used to find that only the silvered reflective collars really worked, the coloured ones just don't shine out in headlights nearly as well.

I also found that the collar needed a buckle with a prong that goes into a hole, not just a sliding buckle.  So long as there is elastic too so that the cat can slip the collar if it gets caught up on something it's okay to have a proper buckle and if you don't have a proper buckle they never seem to keep the collar on for long.

Whenever I would find silver reflective collars with proper buckles I would buy 6 or 10 and put them in a drawer.  (They don't keep them on for very long even when there's a proper buckle!   ;D)
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing
