Hello,
I posted this in the Poultry section before I saw the Marketplace section so apologies for repeating myself!
We're in the North East and are having to move back down South to take care of my Mum, we're not sure where we'll end up living so we need to find new homes for our birds.
We have 2 Mallard (drakes) These are fab; friendly, healthy and brilliant entertainment. They will eat from your hand but don't much like being stroked or held. They live in the shed with our Plymouth Rocks and free range in our garden all day. They have a small pond and love swimming and splashing around so I'd really like them to go somewhere that they can have access to water. If you need it I've got one of those rigid kiddy pools you can have so they can get their bums wet. They eat corn, scraps and whatever they can find in the garden (plus whatever the neighbour chucks over the fence and atin of chopped tomatoes - which they adore)
We also need home/s for 3 Barred Plymouth Rock Cockerels. These can from a fur and feather auction (as hens of course!) but they're definately male. They are magnificent looking though and HUGE! They are friendly and healthy. They've been regularly wormed and mite powdered. They free-range all day in the back garden and they're on corn and scraps etc. They don't fight with each other (yet) they bump chests occasionally and size each other up but it's over as soon as it starts. They've not started crowing yet (but we have heard a couple of strangled sounding practice crows so they can't be far away)
I'm trying to rehome them all before my Husband gets his way and they end up in the pot - they're all less than a year old (the ducks are about 9 months and the Rocks are about 4 months) It seems a shame to cut them off in their prime when they could be off having fun somewhere!
We can deliver locally, I don't want anything for them - just a nice home. Thanks, Kelly
