It hurts, doesnt it!
Rocky, our RIR cockerel went for me for the first time the other day  - he'd just had a new girlfriend join him & his red ladies.  Little ***, I touched his back firmly & he hasnt tried it since...

Are the chicks pure silkie?

I have 2 ex-bats and an Arucana in the Garden, Grand-kids Pets " Little *@I?#" !!! (hens not kids!) only one ex-bat lays and the other one thinks she is a cockerel  :chook: even trying to crow at times.

One Day last week I had been in the Green house potting up some bits and bobs and set off back to the kitchen for a cuppa, as I walked up the garden Blossom flew at the backs of my legs and pecked me real hard a few times. I introduced her to my friend Mr Mop who lives out side the backdoor  ;D

How long did you say it would take me to dig this 5 acres with my spade?

no ... the run lid lifts upwards, so I just (bravely!) put my hand back in & pressed down on his back from behind, so he couldnt reach round!

I have one hen who is very nasty when she is sat on eggs or has chicks with her. She really gors at you and wont stop until you move well away from her.
