Ardalanish and Mull Weavers
« on: May 28, 2011, 06:26:11 pm »
I have just seen in the Scottish Farmer that Ardalanish organic farm and it's business Mull Weavers are on the market.  This is a huge blow for the Hebridean breed as Mull Weavers took many people's clip to produce high-end fashion garments, but it is a great opportunity for someone with money to invest to take over this wonderful place.  Ardalanish itself is on the south coast of Mull, with seashore, machair, in-bye land and hill - it's a wonderful place.  Before you think I'm plugging this for my own benefit, my only interest is in keeping the weaving business going, although I don't send any of my wool clip there. savills.co.uk

Yes well....the million quid is a slight drawback  :D :D :D but isn't it lovely!  Someone must have a rich great-aunt hidden away, surely  :D

If all the TASers and Heb folk want to club together to buy the place I'd volunteer to be the live-in manager  ;D

A tad above my budget otherwise, unfortunately  ;)
