I had been hoping to be present part of today, Saturday and part of Monday - but I'm only just getting urgent work out the way after getting home late on Wednesday. Should make it ok tomorrow though.

Thank you Calum  :)  I've forwarded the info I have to you.  See you tomorrow.

Waiting to hear from HH and Ruth how it has gone today.

Hello
Today was good  ;D
Many thanks to Ellie (Ellied) and Robert & Lillian Waddell for coming along and helping out  :-*
The park was busy and there were lots of people, but unfortunately not many of them were coming into the marquee  :-\
Maybe having people out & about just outside the entrance to try and lure them in would be a good idea  ;)
But lots to see and do for the kids, and a source of inspiration for all smallholders - I'm now thining about Shetland cows, but shhhhh, don't tell Bruce  ;)
Enjoy the weekend folks, I'll be back on Monday with my ever so slightly mental gang in tow ::) - look forward to seeing some of you there  ;D

I made it along after all, though rather late. Must have been approaching 3:30 by the time the queue of traffic let me drop down the exhibitors entrance. So rather than attempt to do a couple of photo sessions with people I used the time to meet Ruth at the RBST stand and then went and spoke to Ann in the visitor centre office to let her know my plans for tomorrow and Monday (she was in the process of creating some signs to try to coax more people into the tent and has added the free photo session to it).

After that I just wandered around taking some scene setting photos - I'll select and upload a small gallery of those later on.

See some of you tomorrow!

Ah, that's who Calum was ;)  sorrry I'm too new to recognise folk :)

I have to say I enjoyed the day, tho I got lost trying to find the place multiple times, wasn't much better leaving and have no guarantee I could ever find it again :o  Signposts seem few and far between and you really have to live in Cumbernauld (recently) to have a chance of working out the road system :o

The dangerous bit wasn't the ranting local ;) nor the dancing badger :o and the guy with face painted in a batman mask :o and all the sheep posters were handed out safely - no the dangerous bit was that I got too enthusiastic and wanted to steal a few sheep, had a list of different chicken breeds I wanted to acquire, was mildly tempted by a cow and a donkey :o and if I'd lived closer I'd have been volunteering to work with the lovely guys that operate the place ::) from the animal attendants to the lady in the cafe, what friendly folk :)

Oh and the TAS folk weren't bad either ;)

Ok, now I'm trying to work out which one you were! The lady on the left of the RBST table (my right)?

And can I just say what ridiculously poor weather it is right now. I'm hoping it improves by mid-day, otherwise I don't think I'm going to be getting many takers for the photo lessons  :(

Chuff sake this weather is awful.

The first thing I'm going to have to say to anyone interested in photo guidance is "Your camera is barely splash proof, I have to advise you not to use it in the rain.". This is going to be useful for them   >:(

Off to palacerigg, hoping it dries up even if it doesn't brighten up.

Just got back from today's effort - total  wash-out, literally - even the marquee leaks, and I'm sure the drips followed me around  ::) :D  Torrential rain all day and we eventually gave up and left by 3, as did all the other exhibitors.  very few people through the park today.

BUT Sunday is another day and the weather promises to be DRY so hopefully all the folk who didn't come today will come tomorrow.

Thank you to goosepimple and her family , Fergie  and cmorrell  for sticking it out  :bouquet:

Sorry I don't think I was much help on Saturday fleecewife, kids just got too cold and miserable and dad a bit hacked off with sopping wet dog and soggy chips - hopefully Sunday was better.  Kids said in car that, 'at least we got to meet fleecewife' - ahh what a great consolation.. :D
Lovely to meet you and fergie by the way :D

Except the day you came  ;D :( ;D  You must take the family again on a lovely sunny day.  Did you get to the aerial walkway?

I was too tired last night to write up about Monday but that went well too - sunny but not too hot and lots of visitors. We signed up quite a few more members, including some who are very keen to help out. Now to the next stage to decide what to do.

A big thank you to Happy Hippy  and Rebecca , the Waddells  and Calum Morrell  for making it a success.
