Not wall to wall sunshine, but another mostly dry and quite warm weekend looks likely for most of the country. Temperatures should reach 17C to 19C in much of England and Wales, although it will still be a little cooler in Scotland and Northern Ireland, especially during Saturday. So for many it seems like a decent opportunity for another early season barbecue. The weather for the London marathon on Sunday is looking quite a warm and dry, though with a low risk of showers affecting the region for a time during the afternoon. Easter is just round the corner, we're currently expecting it to be quite warm and probably dry for most of the country.

30 years ago my daughter was born on 20th of April. A week before, the temperature in the south Midlands was nearly 80 (in old money). My wife was very big and very uncomfortable.

When I left the hospital after my daughter was born (at about 10pm), there was snow on the ground.

I don't trust the weather!
