New arrivals
« on: April 16, 2011, 06:26:51 pm »
Well we have had a couple of new arrivals.
Yesterday up pops one of our silkies  missing for a few weeks and we have now finally tracked down her hideaway behind the hay bales, with two new chicks, both grey. I am presuming that they are from our Marans eggs that she has acquired.
Then this afternoon one of our ewes that we thought was not in lamb as she was 2-3 weeks behind the last lambs had a real nice ewe lamb. Had a bit of trouble getting her out as quite large, but used the trusty old method of putting Mum upside down and pulling out baby. Both doing o.k..
Was going to have a nice quite day as have been helping hubby do some new fencing all week,so instead going to have a glass of wine and put my feet up tonight.

Thanks everyone. The wine went down well and so did putting my feet up. :)
