We have a trio of turkeys, hatched May 2009, who are about to lay and breed...they are bronze turkeys, well grown, docile and well behaved. We already have a trio, and the males are not keen on each other whilst competing for their hens!
If you haven't kept turkeys before, they are much easier than ducks, or geese....and great entertainment, with their strutting and showing. Need grass, and a good shed with a perch. They sit and hatch readily, and are attentive parents, and certainly worth keeping if you sell the young in December. We are in Dorset, and they are £100 for the three. We could put them in the freezer, but it would be a shame as they are such a good trio, and have grown well through the winter.
