Really? Yes it is sad but I'd love for someone to be sad enough to do mine I hate it with a passion.

We have an accountant, I was self employed before and used to phone the tax people and go through it stage by stage and ended up paying min, and all lagit!!! I hate anything to do with no.'s.......Just got to thinking, when its soooo cold, I just try!! yes try to remember when I was far too hot and wanting to get out of the heat, thats when I appreciate the cold, maybe you should remember when you really needed a break but felt guilty and had tooo much to do to stop, now you can stop, no problems.....I need a break, just having a bit of a break but with all the bedrooms etc to do and people arriving on Sunday Plus my Dyslexia stuff to sort out with my brother in law and the babes!!!!! we willl be making beds and cleaning all night, even though we have A guest....they have been here for 2 years and are off soon so, here we go, first T then beds and cleaning reading for them tomorrow!!!

Annie you're not sad at all. Some of us have to enjoy figures else we'd all be in crap with the taxman. Thank god for accountants and book keepers I say!

Well I'm a cross between the two - my Mum was a book keeper/cashier, ran our family business and taught me books from a small child.  I am a CA (failed) - failed my finals and got married and had the children instead ::)  Went back when they went to senior school and got a merit HNC in Accounts, and joined the Institute of Management.  So, lots of experience but very few certificates to back it up.  Unlike Sandy I've only ever done one type of job since school, but my management qualification meant I ran the personnel side of a couple of large companies, as well as being company accountants in two of them.  So maybe I am that SAD person he he ;D ;D ;D

Either way, I hope you are feeling better this morning, Helen, as this is about you really.  :-[ :-[ :-[  How's the ankle?

Better day today thanks Annie. I got taken down to the stable yard so got to see horses and piggies a bit closer up so that was great. Shame I can't make it down to the pig pens but better than looking at them from the house.
We're going to draw up the plans for new concrete block pig stys and pens to sort things so we aren't struggling in mud next year so that'll keep me busy this afternoon.

Hmm, I wish you were closer to Fife then, I have to set up accounts for the first time and input from October - March for my first self assessment ever, and it includes April-September where I was paying tax at higher rate so I'm really needing help at least for this time until I get the hang.  I've kept receipts in monthly files and my diary pretty up to date and I've even been on a course with Business Gateway but I can't set the things up for the life of me and it's just got too big a job now :o
