I was looking in the marts bit of the Scottish Farmer this week. There is a farm sale in a couple of weeks and it said in the advert  "Please note  that there will be no barn door"

I assume this isn't a comment on the farm's architecture - but what does it mean?

I vaguely remember that term being used at the farmer's roup after we bought our croft (we were told it was tradition that we go and buy something - we spent a fortune on old dilapidated rubbish  ) - is it not something to do with not allowing private deals with the farmer?

i hope i am right in saying this
NO BARN DOOR means just that there will not be items sold at the barn door the contents and collection of years of farming and not clearing out every now and again(it is amazing what artefact's are hidden away for years sold for £1 or in some cases hundreds)
