Yes, and thank you for your good luck wishes I needed them.
I begged Digby (pet pig ) to stay in the warm and not to attempt to help with the loading this morning. Digby can open any door and accompanied me anyway. The girls moved from barn to trailer with no problems, fastest ever loading, and Digs stood by watching until the last second just as I was about to shut the gates he could contain his enthusiasm no longer and shot into the trailer, and the two girls bolted out.
Luck wasnt with me as they ran up the path to the other pigs. They They ran past Hilary 3 times before her fragile patience expired and she came through the fencing like a tank. Hilary being a big girl, both pigs and I felt discretion was the better part of valour and we headed for the trailer with alacrity. Now I am quite vertically challenged but managed to make a very good time over the 200 metres. Hilary bearing down on us like an out of control steam train on speed was enough to send me into the relative safety of the trailer. Hilary arrived, took exception to the two porkers and with a turn of speed quite amazing in one so large bit the first one on the rump before charging at the second teeth bared. With a squeak both took refuge in the trailer. Doors shut, ramp up, and Hilary fed in less than a minute!!!!! After which Hilary took herself back to her field to await a second breakfast and Digby the Brave emerged from his hiding place to accompany me on the breakfast round. Pigs dont you just love them.
