Their reg docs should have come with them with details on of how to transfer them to your name.  If not get back to the breeder.  I don't have any up to date info for breed soc sec but you could google them and ask direct if no luck from the breeder.  With some breed socs transfers can be done online, others you get a transfer slip with the animals.

Are you asking about the breed registration or the Defra flock number?

To keep sheep, you need a CPH (County Parish Holding Number) from Rural Payments Agency and a Flock Number from Animal Health. These are legal requirements. You shoudl have these as the seller needss the CPH number for the movement licence.

The breed society will advise of registration documents but these should have come with the sheep. You will have to register your flock with them and decide on a flock prefix / suffix and register that too. The sheep you have bought will always have the name of the breeder's flock. For example, my tup is Fetternear Lionheart, Fetternear being his breeder's flock name. The tups offspring, if I register any, will have the Rosedean prefix, which is my flock name.

You usually have to be a member of the breed society to register them. If you joined you would probably have been sent the appropriate forms with your welcome pack.

I don't know how it works with the welsh mountain but with wilts horn you join the breed society and have to say which breeder you bought your stock from and that is it. Then when you register your first lambs you need to know the flock numbers of your ewes and ram.
