Hi Sandy!  What a time for this to happen, with the weather the way it is!!  There has been some excellent advice and even offers of direct help so I really hope you can sort things out for your brother, who sounds highly intelligent, if a little eccentric. I wish you all the best - keep your chin up!

Spot on!!! He willl outlive me with all the stress I get!!!! Last time it happened I was looking after difficult to place FOster Children and the girl I had was very hard work, her eyes looked right through you, so.....after a few weeks of sorting things for my brother, I rang him the same time daily as well as getting AA involved (they did call around and take him to a meeting) and I rang his Dr, then one morning, just as my car was picked up for some repair work and my FOster child had gone to School, I phoned and he let one BIG scream down the phone and then a chilling THUD!!!!! I had to ring a Taxi after ringing the police ambulance etc, find the money as I did not have much around, got there to see the police break in and my brother in a coma, they took him off to hospital and I said I would get things sorted then follow later, I got his window fixed as he lives in a high crime area, then borrowed his car, I got to the last roundabout out of the town and broke down, had barly enough money for recovery but then I had to ring my ex, no option, he collected me and then I had to get a baby sitter sorted for the Foster child, that was difficult, he pulled through after a few funny moments in hospital with the DT's but always thought we had taken his wallet, I eventualy got this out of him and suggested he rang the hospital as I knew nothing, I did not evben get the money back for the travel repairs etc, anyway, the ambulance men took it with him but never thought to tell me or my brother, I would not steal a sweetie never mind money!!!!! THe story goes ona little as when he recovered a few days later, I had just been to see him with my partner and he was cracking very funny jokes as he thought he was on a film set, I got home to find the Foster Child had over dosed on her medication and my college friend had just popped around for a visit, she lived 17 miles away and planned to stay the night, trouble was she had just been released from being sectioned due to paranoi and I had to get her brother to come to collect her...that night I remember clearly going up to the toilet and sitting for a bit of peace and having a real laugh to myselff!!!!! SOrry for rambling on but it was a bit funny at the time and I had been through very similar stuff with my mum!!!

I am so happy he has gone onto the internet after years of not being able to, he told me years ago about the internet but for years he has lived off his saveings and he has until now not been on the internet and it has re opened his world. If I only had one wish, I would wish he came back to his routes in Scotland. My brother is a true Pryde!!!!!
