the village is under police surveillance 24/7 currently due to 'antisocial behaviour'.  there is lots of stuff going on currently. its very sad as this is a gorgeous part of the world.
I only know of Pete because some of the travellers from the site recommended him to me to buy hens from when I said I was increasing my flock. it seems he is well known to them and they've picked up many of their birds there in the past.
but for anyone to cold heartedly kill 40 birds for no reason, its just so awful.

I've heard of this sort of cruelty before. I can't understand it. Pigs can bite you and cattle can trample you but poor ******** chickens just deliver the goods with no fuss and no aggro. What makes folk commit such atrocity against harmless inoffensive creatures. I hope they brag about it and get caught.
