Mending a broken egg
« on: April 13, 2022, 10:46:48 am »
Yesterday I found a broken egg inside the chicken coop. It was mostly cracked but a little hole was visible. We don't own an incubator, so I'm not much aware of how to mend that egg. I was afraid that other chickens might step on it or eventually it could entirely break, so I tapped the damaged part of the shell and placed it in a corner in a bowl filled with hay.
I have no idea if what I did was right and whether or not it can survive. Can anyone please guide me through?
