I had bought some young bantam hens? quite a few months ago, and alas as
they have grown have ended up with about 4 cockerals of different breeds. I have
3 black and white sussex 2 are def cockerals(they can cock a doo alright)the
other not sure if hen or not would be willing to let 3 go together or seperate.
Now i have been told they are black and white sussex bantams, i'm more into
bigger breeds, but found these 3 wee ones want to terrorise some of my bigger
girls.
I also have a Lavender cockeral lovely handsome bird and 1 what i was told was
sussex cross maybe someone could tell me different.
I would like if all the boys found lovely home somewhere. They are all free
range just now and are used to dogs, my 2 black labs wander about with them all
time.
I would prefer to stick with just hens and would be willing anyone to have a
look if interested to see what they thought.
I don't want any money for the cockerals they are free to very good home. Can

Sorry i can't help i have 5 of my own, i would separate the cockerels as you are more likley to find homes for them separate than two at a time, as a job lot you are shifting your problem to someone else,

if you have a male and female on one breed you could sell as a pair,

Try posting them in your local feed shop

A good shop to put a note up would be Rogers in Cupar, although I've heard that some folk pick them up as their Sunday roast if you offer birds for free. Try charging first if you know the breed and rehoming only if noone wants to buy them.

Thanks for the replies i've had so far. Have managed to get seperate homes for the cockerals.
