I hatched out 4 Legbar eggs, mid August, they were my bosses eggs and I assumed she would want them back but because I had also hatched out 13 Bantams and agreed to give her half (well 6) she has told me I can keep the legbars if I wish as I had reared them.
Now, we havent the room, once they have come out of the 'hutch' as we call it and gone into the little coop, which will be when the other 7 Bantys get promoted to the big coop, that is as far as they will go. At present we have 10 Bantams in the big coop, 2 cockerels will 'go' on 16th October, of the next 7, 4 of those are cockerels so when they have 'gone' that will still leave 12 in there, there are another 2 bantams in with the legbars so 14 in total and as Legbars are 'big' birds we just havent the room.
DO you think I would be able to sell them? If so, how much for? Local paper? Poultry Sale?
This would be the first time for me selling any of my birds you see.
Any help appreciated, thank you
