Hi All

Since a Rhododendron nearly poisoned two of my sheep I have been on a hunt to identify every tree/plant on my property.

These two I have no idea about - anyone recognise them? Dangerous or safe! First one image 659 came from a tree. Second one 660 came from the ground near my paddocks.

The first one I'm not 100% sure of but I think is Rowan (mountain ash) and would be safe if it is that.
The second is silverweed and is fine for them to eat

I think someone once told me that rowan berries were poisonous until they were cooked , is that correct?

I have no idea if they are poisonous, but I'm not dead

They ARE incredibly winky until cooked so that may be why I'm not dead as they are too gross to eat many of raw.

Please people don't take the stupid things I do as fact that it is safe for you to do also. I am that eejit who will try something if she's fairly sure it'll be ok.
For example I was only told last year that you should cook beech mast

apparently it's no good for you raw.... I shall let you know in a few years what the damage is long term cos I've et loads of the stuff
