So my cockerel now has a name!!
I had decided to name him after whoever won the men's finals at Wimbledon. I hoped it would be Nadal as Rafael is a great name for cockerel, however for a while he could have been Andy, then at last he is Roger. That seems like a suitable name for a randy rooster. To celebrate he crowed for the very first time just after the match.

Here he is with the girls enjoying the overgrown garden.

Ours were Shagger and Roger. Roger was eaten by a fox and has been replaced by Randy.

But Rosie, I can't tell the difference betweens the lights yet! Queenie is easy becase she is the first to run towards me and she is silver of course. So I could call them all Lucy

I call my cockerel Henry and always use the same name when we need a new one.

Mine dont have names this time. The little bantam cock is boss and we have an isabrown (I think) cock to do the larger ladies. Unfortunatly the lone sring chick that looked like it was going to be a very nice larger hen creowed this morning!!!! oops.
