what can go out now ?
« on: March 17, 2010, 08:01:49 am »
:farmer: Got some seeds ready to start in the spare room windowsill, but wondered what can go outside now ? I'm high up, in zone 7b ( I just found a zone map  ;D) I have siberian kale, surely that can go into the ground now ? I have white turnips, beetroot, lettuce, endives, and leeks.

Hello. Right,  you can plant out: Spuds, cabbages/caulis, lettuces, onion sets, shallots, garlic. You can sow just about anything. hold back with the beans. I've got peppers and aubergines on the go indoors. Got to start my tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes.when I get the chance.

Hold on, depends where you are doesn't it?
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age
