New to tagging!
« on: June 25, 2015, 10:52:54 pm »
Hello!

I'm new to tagging and just wanted to double check something.

I've got 4 lambs intended for slaughter so I have ordered yellow single EID tags but I am keeping a castrated ram. Do I double tag him with the same tags as breeding tags? So 1 yellow and 1 blue?

Thanks!

Yes, anything that is expected to be alive beyond 12 months old needs two tags
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
