Awww. sweet isn't he?  Much better than a human baby, Ruth!!

Has he recovered from his disbudding and castration?  Er ....he looks big for two weeks old, or is it the way you took the pic!!!

he is big!      ;)
and too wriggly to photograph most of the time!
the disbudding/castration havent bothered him... though I think sometimes he jars himself when he's landed after one of those death-defying leaps & twists that goat kids do     :) and cries  (little attention seeker!!)

Yes, I was surpirsed at how much they cry out during their rough-and-tumble games, much more noisy than lambs...

Just keep watching the horn buds as they heal and if they start to grow again.

yes, metre high pallets, with another metre of stock wire above (and inside the pallets).  no escapes, though occassionally through the gate...
Max is determined to get himself through the bars of the gate.. we removed the wire from it after my husband ripped holes in three pairs of jeans  ::)
pallets free from local factory    ;D

we both built it, thankyou very much!  and he was at his worst, health wise so I had to go into the hardware shop every other day for huge nails, screws, d-hooks, wire cutters, paint as we went along ... they dread me going in there, I'm sure !!

the "run" is attached to the front of the shed, yes, we built that too !

hi James,
he is an absolute superstar!
going to be a big lad we think, he has shot up and is quite stocky, and eats & drinks well,
I've started getting him used to a collar and harness - he isnt keen but once on he's ok... his mum wont have a lead on at any price despite a year of trying, so I'm determined little Max will be trained & be used!

this picture is nearly two weeks old, he is even bigger, and the horn buds are looking much better...    ;D

He's growing up quick! He looks well, and lovely markings.
