Hi

I have been making my own preserves,jams and such for many years,I have always used the same pan,however,mine is never really quite large enough to make a super large batch.So,I have started looking,I never thought to ask anyone which they prefer,which do you get better results with?

aluminium has been associated with alzheimers. worth a thought.

My Mam bought me a lovely stainless steel one form Lakeland for my 40th - Love it. I use my old aluminium one for dying stuff instead (because of links with Alzeimers as above) now and would never use Alu pans out of choice.

Stainless

The only down side is that it is not as shallow and wide as my old aluminium one, but as I couldn't lift that weight to pour any more it doesn't matter.
