Brooder & Accessories for sale
« on: February 20, 2011, 12:02:59 pm »
Due to an impending house move & giving up poultry breeding, i have a large "wire type" chick brooder cage + accessories for sale.

Brooder Cage
This wire cage is ideal for chicks, a brooder bulb can be suspended above the cage to make a self-contained poultry brooder unit. Please note that the base is wire with a dropping tray under, it is recommended that for chicks, card is placed on top of the wire to prevent injury to chicks legs.
100 x 52 x 35 cm (66cm inc. legs)
Large enough for up to 12 chicks up to 6 weeks without overcrowding

A picture can be viewed on Ascott's website (where i bought it)
Folds flat for easy transporting

30x30 Electric brooder heat plate

1 season's use only

Ideal brooding for up to 30 chicks. Similar principle to an Electric Hen, this brooder has the element sealed into the underside of the plate, which is easily adjustable for height as the chicks grow. This is also more economical to run than a heat lamp as they are only 25 watts.

Specification: 30cm x 30cm, 25 watts.

I find the chicks tend to feather up a little quicker compared to a heat lamp

Accessories

1 x chick feeder

1 narrow lipped drinker

1 x Brooder thermometer

In fact, everything you need to raise young poultry, just add birds & food.

I'm looking for £50 for the lot or make me an offer.

Must go by Thurs 24th

Thanks for looking.

Sorry, should've added that i'm in Fife ...my bad   :-[

I was made redundant AGAIN 3 weeks ago, so we're all moving back to Lancs & i have a house & job lined up.

Not a happy move, but any work is a bonus, as there's bugger all left up this way

Replied to the pm
