Billy and kids
« on: September 24, 2010, 12:57:49 pm »
I have 3 girlies for the Billy - but they are still with their kids who were born in April.  Can I just leave them in when the Billy comes in a week or so?  They are all girls but presumably they won't come on heat as they are too young?

it is difficult but not impossible to separate them - I just feel a bit mean!

Any advice welcome....

I would definitely NOT leave the female kids anywhere within reach of the billy.

My female kid came into season last year, although only late in November or December if I remember correctly. My girls go away on their "holidays" or have a "day trip", as we cannot keep billies at the moment.

I am not sure how far away they would have to be, but mine was VERY noisy and could be heard from the other end of the holding! Probably depends on the boy...
