Following on from Castlefarms thread.
When visiting the tiny town of Montgomery a few weeks ago we were surprised to see 2 Rex rabbits sitting in one of those big pots that trees are grown in. There are I think about 11 of these trees around the town and around each tree is a bed of clover. A gentleman was standing near the bunnies with a pet carrier so we went over for a chat and asked what exactly he was doing.
He used the bunnies to keep the clover short. It took 2 days for the bunnies to graze down the clover before moving on to the next tree and starting the process again. ....... It saved him, he said, having to cut the clover.
He was there the other evening in the dark outside the Spar with the said grazing bunnies.
Rural life .... hey ho
