Pigs and snow !!
« on: December 18, 2009, 04:52:53 pm »

Do pigs like snow ??  am asking cause when we fed ours today they looked a bit cold. We have put lots of straw into the ark, so they should be cosy in there. Do they get frostbite or anything, they are only small. Do I need to make them insulated wellies....  lol

Hello Debbie,
Not sure on if they like it or not? But all ours are out in the thick of it up here so im sure yours will be fine! Weve got pleanty of bedding too so they will propably just stay in, out of the snow if they dont like it?? Hope all the little piggies are well  :)

just watch them when it gets icy. our slipped all over the place. you don't want a pig with a bust leg.

Mixed reaction  Gossie babies had to be coaxed out to eat.  Gossie sows and boar were all out waiting to eat.

Large black voted with his trotters and hasnt moved off the sofa all day.

They all seemed fine today, came hurtling out of the ark as normal when the food appeared.. Am sure they all went straight back in after... Even more snow tonight, the dogs are loving it too..

   Happy Christmas everyone
