Hi all

Just wondering what kind & with who (if at all) people have their stock insured with?

Asking mainly as I'm about to take on some grazing which runs along a fast road... Whilst the hedge is good AND I'm gonna fence, we all know what sheep can be like!!

Are NFU any good? I tried all our local farm insurance but they will only do farm packages and not just stock. I rent grazing for my 31 sheep (the owner says he has liability insurance but has no stock of his own).

Go into your local NFU office and have a talk with the staff.  I do know that they are good at paying out when needed.

We got quotes from NFU, our insurance broker who does our home insurance, and Stuart Benger. We went with Stuart Benger as it seemed to be the most appropriate for us, and the price was good.
2 pygmy goats, 3 Ouessant sheep, 19 chickens, 2 donkeys, 2 Shetland ponies and 2 dogs
