If you are in Scotland you may be familiar with "the list" magazine. Well there's a free guide in it this week, well worth having I think.

I came across this company. Amazing tatties: http://www.heritage-potatoes.co.uk/shop.php?mainpage=product_info&products_id=36

Some of the varieties they have were of particular interest. I'll still use the supplies for small holders site too though :)

Going to try some of the most unusual ones next year, although i did get red duke of york and a purple type really cheap (3 x £5) at a woolorth type store last year. Does anyone try to seed there own potatoes? i'm new to this and was wondering if i bought some of these unusual expensive variaties could i bring some on myself?

I bought some blue Scottish ones this year  - never again, heritage or not  ::) Shame I don't remember the variety but all they were good for was deep fried thinnest crisps! Once hot water as far as touched them they fell apart into a starchy sauce, maybe there are for soups  ;D
Will have to do better research next year before I buy as the labels in Freuchie don't really say anything...Maybe on-line is better. Apparently the guy who supplies Freuchie and T & M is also in Fife and you can buy on-line.  :&>
