I am new to smallholding, having just moved, and am looking for any advice on a smallholder friendly abbatoir on the Beds/Herts Border

Not Evans. What kind of livestock do you want to take?

i think most poultry keepers would do it themselves unless they had loads of birds to do.

I should think you'ld be lucky to find an abbatoir who would do poultry. Best to ask around poultry people/farmers and find someone to show you how it's done. Perhaps put a card up in your local agricultural suppliers. It's not difficult to do your own and once you've dispatched one it does get easier. Not easy, but easier :) :)
