I can only said that I will check it out on Monday as I have 3 that will need dealing with maybe July. Thanks for bring this to my attention as I have always tried to do the right thing.

Rose, the pigs now have to comply with eaml2 that is now in force since April . you will need to register before taking them to markets, abatoirs etc

Sent pigs there with both slap marks and tags. Tregaron abbatoir is a friendly place. I know if you want christmas pigs you have to book in September and sometimes worth checking before that. The first lot of pigs my neighbours had, didnt take heed on the whole book well in advance and had to wait an extra month.. needless to say pigs were a little fattier than planned.
Love pigs; their language, intelligence, and taste.
NPTC in chainsaws (felling small trees) and HND in Agriculture with countryside management.
Farming it runs through the blood :D

I haven't had time to check out any new regs for pigs, but I will.  I'm sure you are right though Doug.  Have just got back from Tregaron Mart. (Goat Show).
