Aubioseand Hemcors about £12 a bale but lasts ages and ages and it doesn't stick to anything like clothes and dries out the poo mega quick. I use it for the horses too and it works out cheaper than shavings for me cos its so much better bed. Use 2 bales a week for 2 stabled horses plus any needed for the chickens.

£7-£8 a bale for small shavings.  Lasts me about a year for 6 chickens.

cardboard under straw. The card to buffer any falls and to help me see any evidence of breakages in the chooks' house. In the duckhouse to absorb the moisture a bit better...  ::) :&>
