Tai Chi, Sponsor me?
« on: June 13, 2010, 08:22:43 pm »
hi folks,
the tai chi group my Sikung runs has organised a sponsored 24 hour Tai Chi event the first weekend in July.
it aims to 1) raise awareness  of the benefits of Tai Chi and
2) raise money for Ashgate Hospice and Treetops - an organisation which gives at-home care for the terminally ill.

I found myself agreeing to take part (!) and so am in need of sponsors please.

if you think you can help, however little, please pm me for ways to pay!

thankyou for reading

Oh! blue I was asked to attend a Pulmonary Rehab; Course after my Oxygen Assessment and one of the things they run at Hope Street was a
Tai Chi course. I could enrol into for free. It's quite expensive to join as a member of the public. I watched one afternoon and I was buggered looking at them, never mind participating.I had forgoten all about it until I read your post.Good luck with it anyway. George and Kath

thanks both.
Its deceptive, looks slow and easy and is bloomin' hard most of the time!  and tough on the legs & ankles
but I'd recommend anyone to give it a go, dont be shy, and its soooooo relaxing (to get away from it all for a couple of hours!)

a BIG thankyou to those of you wo sponsored me - you know who you are!

We dont have a final figure of ££s raised yet, but I will let you know.

And post a link to photos of the event (though the camera was uncomfortably close to my bottom during a bending-down bit... think they'll have to edit that out - like a total eclipse!!)

came home and immediately fell asleep, so apologies if any of my posts are abit dopey!
