Very nice, good luck, my friend bought one of these nearly 50k then realised he needed a hgv licence to drive one, I assume you have either bought a light weight model or you already have your hgv licences.

I passed my test in 1967 so I have grandmother rights to drive up to  7.5 tons.

Love the journal, don't like oysters either
pygmy goats, gsd, border collie, scots dumpys, cochins, araucanas, shetland ducks and geese,  marrans, and pea fowl in a pear tree.

I dont really understand the "downgrading" system, but it seems to be a paperwork excersise which is mainly done on importation as pretty well all of the RV's are well over  Probably just a badly thought out EU /UK thing.  After all if you are allowed to drive up to 7.5 tons does it really matter what the truck is capable of carrying?

There is a school of thought which says that the 7.5 tons max only applies to commercial / carrying vehicles and as an RV is neither that particular regulation is irrelevant.  I don't believe there has been a test case on it but I don't intend to be the first if I can help it   ::)
