someone told me we are due more today - any one know? and when? and where? and for how long?
-
We have a small covering here, came on all of a sudden and has caused a few problems being ontop of black ice!!
looks like it is getting ready to start again :(
-
Cameron - SHHHHHHHHH !
I'm NOT listening la la lala la ;D ;D ;D
(we git a very small flurry this morning - I'll be paying close attention to the Countryfile weather tonight ;))
-
We have a dusting this morning and it's a bit nippy. More snow due here on Thurs - allegedly ::)
-
Someone told me to expect snow in early/mid Feb but so far so good, staying dry cold and frosty is good for me with the fields overstocked and post-flood/thaw they're boggy otherwise :)
Very cold again tho :o
-
Was supposed to be frosty here today - but quite mild and damp. snow forecast for Thursday though. Glad I've got my wood(multifuel)burner installed
-
-8 when I was milking this morning here in Devon.
-
Very Hard Frost here this morning hardest wev'e had this time - all the water buckets frozen, they haven't really unfrozen for the last few days - so have to keep going out and breaking the ice.
not sure of but think it was -10,to cap it all the oil boiler didn't fire up this morning so felt like -20, the feed pipe had frozen and not enough oil getting through. (Did we really used to live like this, no central heating in the bathroom ::) ::) ::))
OH trying to get the EX roof felt and battened before the rain and wind tomorrow.
Think the north is expecting snow Thursday - wet and windy in the South.
-
Cold and windy here, but dry and not freezing. Hope it stays this way - but with less wind, which is making it bitterly cold.
-
joy of joys! i best get myself out and stock up on things i dont have here....
-
Well according to the met office weather forecast no snow unless you are on high ground or in the Scottish hills - am I missing something? I don't think there is any ground for panic just now?
-
No grounds for panic, but we normally get the harshest of our winter in February/March.....so we're getting ready for round two!!
-

DOH!! That's us stuffed again then!! ;D
I wonder when Kwik fit will take delivery of the winter tyres that I bought and paid for in mid November!?!?! >:(
-
womble kwik fit are crap McGowan tyres in falkirk Allister is an ex rally man and will sort you out if you are not sorted by the next time we meet i will give you a few more names but get your money back from the robbing forkers
-
I know Lillian. They were running a special offer on winter tyres, so I ordered four. Unfortunately, the day of the fitting appointment coincided with the big snowfall we had here, and by the time I dug the car out two days later, they had accidentally sold 'my' tyres to somebody else, before running out of stock throughout the whole country!
They've been giving me the run around ever since then, so I shan't be darkening their doors again. Just very glad we had the Landy as well, or we'd have been snowed in for a fortnight!!
-
There was the tiniest skiff of snow this morning :o but according to the weather it's going to snow properly tomorrow and the white cloud was well across Fife :(
Along with the high winds we're due tonight that'll be lovely then ::)
Actually the wind has died down a bit just now, is still bitterly cold but the sun is out so it's bright anyway and I have a chance to get a few jobs done :)
Someone finally came on Monday and chainsawed the twisted hanging branches off the tree and cut up the rotten crabapple that the JCB had left on my drive 2 weeks ago so I need to clear and stack the wood somewhere and things will look a lot tidier then :)
Also have the insurance surveyor coming to decide if my "shed" is covered by my old insurance policy - assuming he says no, too agri and not domestic enough to count ::) I can at least get the place cleared, but if he says yes then that would be a huge relief, tho I'd have to lose my no claims with the new insurer (NFU).. Just knowing will help, and being inspected before any more falls in a gale :o
