Radish pods
« on: September 11, 2011, 08:11:01 am »
For the first time this year I grew some radishes that when left in the ground produce little green pods that you can pick and add to salads.  They taste of a strong radish and are delicious, especially tossed in salt and served with beer as a snack. :)  But I have zillions of them and wondered if anyone has any ideas on what else I can do with them?

Assume seed pods.. so save some seed for next year?
How about trying to make radish mustard - anyone tried that...just invented the idea ;D.. or even chucking a spoonful of seeds into this years pickles?

They also add a bit of zest to a stir fry.

Thanks for the great ideas. I love the pickle idea.  In fact, as I have so many I might make a pickle with the pods as the main ingredient.  I won't make too large quantities in case it's disgusting.
