Can anyone help? I've never grown these before they were a present for my youngest. Do I still prick out the side shoots or do I leave them?

Hope someone can help

I'm in the same situation. I'm pinching out the side shoots on one plant and leaving them on the other. The plant with no side shoots has less flowers, but I'm hoping the tomatoes will be bigger. :fc:

I think you should leave the side shoots as that's what makes them a bush, they don't grow as tall as the normal cordon, when I have grown them I found I needed to use short forked sticks to support stems that are cropping heavily or they drop to the ground and those dastardly slugs will have them

Leave the side shoots to grow. You only need to remove them in cordon tomatoes.

I agree with Goat Lady mines in a biggish pot in the garden , must say its quite a bit behind the greenhouse lot but little flowers are just starting.
