Runny nose in ewe

I have a Zwartble ewe who lambed four weeks ago who has developed a runny nose breathing ok eating and drinking ok
All other ewes seem fine lamb fine any suggestions welcome

No answers I'm afraid, but I'm following with interest as one of my ewes was a tiny bit snotty last night... (same as yours, well in herself!)
Smallholding in Worcestershire, making goats milk soap for www.itsbaaathtime.com and mum to 4 girls,  goats, sheep, chickens, dog, cat and garden snails...

With highly changeable weather and the strain on lactating ewes I always suspect pneumonia if I see a runny nose at this time of year and give 5ml of Alamycin LA just in case.

Only a 50kg dose though MF, would that be your badger face dose? I would imagine your southdowns would weigh a lot heavier? Certainly the Z would weigh a lot more

Hi Bugsy,

When I've had to give any of my Z ewes antibiotics - i.e. Duphamox LA it's usually 8ml although there are a couple of bigger ones that would be given 10ml  (based on vets advice in the past)
