The chicks have arrived
« on: August 17, 2012, 09:22:44 am »
Its very exciting as these are my first chicks.
I had 6 postal eggs and 4 chicks.  One will definitely not hatch as it got broken yesterday and there was nothing in it.  I have one remaining egg. Not sure if its going to hatch but I didn't want to mess her about too much so have left them all to it for the time being.

I put 3 Barred Wyandotte and 3 French Copper Blue Maran under her.
2 of each have hatched. So far they look pretty much the same to me but then I am trying to keep out of the way as I didn't want to disturb mum.
She is still sitting tightly on them this morning but I could hear cheeps.
