not sure about geese but if  a hen goes broody and sits you wont  see anymore eggs for a months, so if geese do that you wont get 40 eggs just 10.... i would like to know if they start laying again after brooding is over as this is my first year with laying geese. ie will i get 60 eggs sooner or later during the year. anyone had success with geese eggs in an incubator,

I have had mixed success using an incubator, but would use it again as each time brings more experience. Last time I had power offs, but still hatched a couple. the moisture levels are the most important factor I believe, once you can maintain these you have cracked it. I am tempted to try a couple this time just to prove fertillity levels. I don't really need any more geese though.

marrky.i was told by a goose breeder that incys not very good, best way is to put 3 under a hen then the geese keep laying, do geese need water to mate in... something does but i cant remember what it is, and it isnt fish.

Goose eggs like getting wet as she gets up for her constitutional ie a swim and comes back with a damp under carriage when your goose will deign to sit on a clutch of eggs; ours never has.We have hatched eggs in the incubator several times with varying success;moisture is the key.

I just got me first ever goose egg this afternoon. She ran when she saw me so I lifted the egg but she seemed to be looking for it so I put it back. I will wait and see what happens next.

I sometimes keep a pot egg in my pocket, to swap into the goose nest when taking one out. Earlier this week I forgot it was now a real egg and ended up with a very messy pocket :dunce:
