Banty recommendations
« on: August 02, 2011, 09:43:49 pm »
Hi,

For my birthday, I am thinking of having a few bantams. I have had Welsummer and Vorwerk bantams before so I want something different

I am thinking of 3-4 non- game type banty's and then a game banty for broodyness.

Any recommendations welcome- however one stipulation no feathered legs!

Thanks

Peter

Our suggestion would be Seabrights, Transylvanian Naked Necks, Wyandotte or Polish.

Wyandottes, good amount of eggs come in lots of very attractive colours and good broodies.
Shetland sheep, Castlemilk Moorits sheep, Hebridean sheep, Scots Grey Bantams, Scots Dumpy Bantams. Shetland Ducks.

I love Polands and Silkies (so cute and cuddly and lay fab tiny little eggs) , but if you want something sleek and beautiful, then seebrights are great - beware that they are really good fliers though.
