Hello brand new to the forum, and recommended to it by a friend, not technically a smallholder, hope that wont count against me, but i am a back garden hen keeper, and have been for 9 years.
I am in Kent / SE London.
Looking forward to finding out more about other things.

Thanks for responding GHDP - your comment pinged it up so I saw it too...

What do you mean you're not a smallholder @Belleisa - you can't get much more 'smallholder' than backyard chickens!!!!  Welcome and look forward to learning from you.  I've been owned by hens (ex-batts) for just a couple of years.

  and welcome @Belleisa .  We don't have many members from London I think  ;D   I'm in Scotland and keep hens, geese and Hebridean sheep.

Thank you everyone for the welcome.
Some how i always felt small holders had 4 legged animals, and an area bigger than a back garden.
So i guess mine could be calld a tiny holder.
A friend in Norfolk suggested this forum.

Hi and welcome. I am another back garden smallholder, although I refer to it as my microholding. I used to keep goats, hence the name, but sadly had to stop due to disability. Still grow fruit and veg though.
